Riverside Hotel

"Basic hotel very well located. The ground floor rooms are very dated. Have stayed before and upper level rooms are far superior. Will return but won’t take a lower floor room."
Stonecross Manor Hotel

"The room was clean, but in need of some TLC. The lights did work, when the receptionist was told she came fiddled with the light bulbs, eventually they came back on. Once turned off they would not come back on. Very much felt that was an issue the hotel knew about, but had not fixed. The staff at breakfast were not welcoming. When the breakfast came the bacon and black pudding were not fully cooked. The sausage was poor quality and very peppery. Rather disappointing. Will not be staying again."

"We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there"

"Lovely hotel. Garden is beautiful with a great duck pond. Staff very helpful. Restaurant very nice with great food lamb roast was delicious. Room spacious and great shower. Would recommend this hotel."

"Gîte très agréable où tout a été pensé pour passer un bon moment. Propreté irréprochable. Tout confort. Propriétaires sympathiques.Si vous cherchez un endroit calme pour vous reposer c'est idéal. La ville de Kendal est proche et on y trouve tous les services nécessaires."

"The mattress and pillows were amazing. A great night's sleep. The food at the restaurant on the evening was amazing. Very dog friendly. Outside seating with blankets lovely touch. Well recommended. We enjoyed our stay."

"Fantastic place to stay. Easily within reach of all lakeland activities. Lovely, clean and well maintained with everything you need in a home from home. We had a terrific family hol with three adults and two kids. Lovely to see all the cows, sheep and horses just outside. 100% booking again. Very nice hosts too!"
