"Chalet dated but very clean and well equipt. Fabulous location and we sat outside on the decking frequently. Very close to a main trainline into London but we knew this as visiting friends having previously lived in Broxbourne. Didn't bother us. Sofa not comfortable to sit & enjoy TV. Very hard. Only other negative was the twin beds. Despite the mattress toppers, the springs in the mattresses have gone. They do need replacing. Sadly we had an uncomfortable few nights sleep! "

"Stayed over at this property for a ladies retreat. It was a spacious place as described but unfortunately meant that it took forever to heat up and some rooms never got warm. Would avoid in the winter months unless you have a portable heater. The owner did bring us wood for the fire place so used that - very pretty and warm. "Accommodations were very basic. No essentials were provided, soap, shampoo, paper towels, tissues, salt, and pepper. It would be a big plus too have a couple more hooks and shelves in the bathroom to be able to place things. Another chair in the main living area would be helpful. Plan to bring everything with you. The gardens were beautiful and very relaxing. Overall worked for us."

"What a fantastic stay. We chose this property as we needed to vacate our home whilst work was being done, but it ended up so much more than just a place to lay our heads. The location, near the main road was ideal, but actually very quiet, as it was set down a hill. Pauline, the owner, couldn't have been more accomodating, finding extra parking for us and sorting out things very quickly. The location was brilliant, especially for our 2 dogs who loved the peaceful walks in the near vacinity"

"We are in our early 60’s and stayed for 4 nights at the end of May 2024. Great central location, out of the door and into the massive park, brilliant for dogs. This is a very old building, quaint inside, nicely updated to fit in well with the property’s age. Bedroom is big and comfy, loved the green leather seat looking out of the window. The bath / shower are a bit of an adventure, looks great but we could not live with it if we were living there all the time. Word of warning, 100% not suitable...

"The property is centrally located in Covent Garden n 15 min walk to Soho. The Holborn station is also few mins away. The rooms are fairly newly remodeled - they are comfortable despite a few small construction defects such as the toilet flusher is set too low behind the toilet seat cover thus user must close or move the lid in order to flush. Lastly, my room faces the backs of other buildings so there isn’t a view at all which isn’t a huge problem."
