Sometimes when we are in a hurry to get everything done at once, it turns out that we are late with everything and this time the team showed class that sometimes Savoy or Ritz could envy. Massive „Thank you” to Adi to let me stay and finish my chapter past the expected moment to leave. She and the rest of the crew bring a level of genuine hospitality that most five-star hotels would struggle to match. In a city that charges you for every breath, Rest Up London offers something rare: real value, real comfort, and people who actually care. Not because they have to, but because it shows. Had ongoing issues getting towels, washcloths, hand towels throughout the stay (had to call down every day for something)… middle of the night call from room service, despite having not ordered. No follow up or apology from staff. Would probably stay again, but would go elsewhere if costs/location were equal. "

"The Good: nice towels, clean, nice breakfast with many choices, very courteous porters; good location near Victoria Station The Bad: a lobby overrun with guests awaiting to check in at 3pm, just awful; 2 petulant check-in clerks; a single occupancy room so small that the chair could not be pulled from the desk because of the proximiry to the bed, the small refrigerator door could only be opened half way; absolutely no space to open suitcase except in the hallway in front of the bathroom and room doors; the single rooms are isolated from the rest of the rooms and at the end of the hallway (think past 18 rooms, outside the hallway and next to a secondary elevator); banging on the ceiling and windows for several hours every night. Spoke to the manager, he was dismissive and offered an upgrade for an additional £60. It’s not about the upgrade, it’s about providing the BASIC amount of space - enough room to be able to open luggage, even the luggage rack could not be opened without restricting the ability to move in the room. I asked the manager to come to the room and see for himself and his response is that he “knew” the room. Obviously he has never stayed overnight in the room and said he was “very busy”. I checked out a day early after having prepaid my stay; the night manager offered a better room but frankly I was done with this hotel. Never again with a RIU hotel. "
