"Roberta goes above and beyond to make her guests comfortable and welcome. The room was beautiful and quiet. Her breakfast included dozens of options for food and she even took orders from a menu, which she then immediately cooks, such as different kinds of crepes. They were wonderful. She is also a very caring person and seems to love what she does for her guests.The location is also just off the main shopping and tourist area. "The restaurant staff was phenomenal. Check-in went very smoothly however we were staying in the penthouse. The most expensive room on the property with the taxes were almost as much as the actual stay, the keys to the outer doors did not work and we were locked in for the evening and the desk closed. To be fair it was very late, however, there should’ve been a way to reach someone on the property to let them know we couldn’t leave the top floor Also, the air-conditioning units were not working. The hotel itself is stunning. It was worth the stay for the gorgeous architecture, well appointed renovations and charming breakfast without standing staff and beautiful veranda."

"I chose the Liodoro because I wanted to stay in the city center to see what Catania had to offer. It was great walking around and taking in some of the sights. Plenty of restaurants and shopping were within a 15 minute or less walk. And only 3.9 miles from the airport. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had an issue with the air conditioner but it was somewhat resolved. Since the room was really large with very high ceilings, the room did not cool down as much as we would have liked. I would also recommend having an iron in the room and maybe a few bottles of water in the mini fridge. I had never stayed in an Airbnb or hotel where the checkout time was before 11:00 am so I thought 10:30 was a little early. The customer service was efficient and it was easy to reach someone with questions. They also allowed us to come early and use the lobby to store our luggage."

"The check in process was simple and friendly.Valentina was very cordial and spoke both Italian and English very well.The hotel was a boutique hotel and was filled with old world charm. Valentina booked us a Godfather tour which was amazing. The bar was in the lobby and was well stocked and close to the outside garden so we could sit and unwind after a day of siteseeing . Our room had a stocked mimibar with reasonable prices. Antonio also booked us a taxi to take to our next destination which took pressure off us trying to find a ride. Overall the staff,amenities and embiance were top notch. Ted"

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent and very convenient for exploring the area. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with very comfortable beds that ensured a great night's sleep. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of delicious options to choose from(Sicilian specialities) .The coffee was especially excellent. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel."

"We needed a hotel close to the CTA airport and Palazzo Sangiorgio is exactly that, about 15 minutes away. It's not in a glamorous location and the hotel is not at a luxury level, but it's clean, well managed, peaceful and quiet. Everything in our room worked perfectly and we were easily able to park to unload our luggage, drive to the airport to drop of our bags and return so we would not need to stress returning the car before an early morning flight. The hotel is an easy walk to the main Piazza, shopping and dozens of restaurants. Catania is not a particularly beautiful city, but worth a stroll and surprisingly busy with tourists. The hotel thoughtfully had a bag packed with breakfast food when we checked out at 6 a.m. as the breakfast room did not open until 7."

"WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Awful noisy unpleasant room. Many steep narrow stairs , no lifts. Could hear train loudly and neighbours having sex even louder. Room was very basic and looked NOTHING like the photos. Hard bed. Terrible pillows. Weird small shower. In dire need of a renovation. Area is close to old town but very run down. Was very disappointed. We travel a lot using Hotels.com bookings. This is the first hotel we have been in that was nothing like the photos. Room we were in needs painting and updating at the moment it is a one star option"
