"Disappointment was an understatement. Besides the fact that the hotel manager had some racist undertones in his talk, the staff was uncomfortably odd. Their mission is to be eco-friendly, which is great, but their mission of living in a commune & not liking tourists makes it worrisome. No TV is allowed. Men are asked to sit to pee. Music is discouraged. Going into town is frowned upon. BEWARE OF EXTRA CHARGES! The hotel insists that you eat meals with them. It is cheaper to eat meals...

"Wengen - Wow! And what a perfect chalet to experience it from. It is cozy, beautiful, well-located and….the view! I jokingly said that postcards must have been invented here because otherwise no one would believe that such a place exists. The decor of the chalet is beautiful and cozy. It invites “hanging out”. "The gentleman that ran the breakfast buffet, was so wonderful. When we checked out of the Hotel, it was raining and we had a 2 hour wait before our train. He let us stay in the dining room for comfort and kept checking on us ….. mind you it was closed in the restaurant…. Offering us tea or coffee. So kind !!"
