"The hotel was right next to the cruise port. Pan Pacific offered luggage transport to the cruise ship for a gratuity, we were surprised to be upgraded to a beautiful suite: dining table six chairs, huge bathroom with large jetted tub, rain shower and separate area with toilet and bidet. There was also a half bath, sitting area and office space "

"Me: "Where would you prefer to live? [our home city] or Vancouver?" My 4 year old: "I prefer to live in... this hotel!" We had a blast at the River Rock hotel during May long weekend. Our little one loved the swimming pool, and we had the bonus of having a room right above the SkyTrain and in the flight path of planes taking off from YVR... built-in free entertainment! Really close to places we like to visit in Richmond too... restaurants, shopping, Richmond Night Market. Plus easy access to the highway to go into the city. Our room was clean and comfortable. Check-in/out was easy too. My only criticism is the layout of the resort meant a bit of a long walk each day to get to the parking lot (across the street and then on the other side of the resort), and the swimming pool was tricky to find. Signage could be clearer. Also the elevators in the parking lot were broken, along with some of the elevators in the resort itself. "

"We were attending a celebration of life at the church next door so the location was very convenient. The room was a little outdated, but there is obviously work going on to update the hotel. The bedding and towels were wonderful and despite being next to a hospital it was very quiet. The staff were all efficient and friendly and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay again."

"The hotel is in the heart of downtown Vancouver and the location is convenient for shopping, dining, walking or transportation. The staff is not very friendly and the cleanliness is average (carpet was dusty, bedsheet had a stain, bath mat had a stain)."
