"Great stay at the best western plus in Buxton. Fantastic welcome by reception staff, polite, knowledgeable and made to feel welcome. When busy hotel always felt there was staff on help to help. Clean and tidy in rooms. Good breakfast with some good variety like styles of eggs and cereals. Only slight criticism is hotel starting to feel dated ,but actually still feels like it blends with the overall Buxton country feel. A great base to travel through the Derbyshire Peaks. "

"We dont really have a complaint ... just a couple of comments. When we stayed it was a glorious day with record temperatures and the blossoms in the trees where in full bloom. Everything was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. Comments We had what i thought on entry was a compact room due to size, i attended reception and asked if i could pay extra for a standard and was told we were in a standard already - it did seem small. SO ... we paid for an upgrade to a Junior Suit, it cost £40 extra but to be fair it was fabulous. The bar closed at 10:30 on a hot spring evening with plenty of guests still looking to enjoy the weather and sit outside or in the bar. Breakfast finishes at 930 which i think is early for a location that has a more "mature" clientele. Checkout is 10:00am which again i think is early. Most hotels are 11:00am with an option to noon. Finally - the lift is scary ... i know its old. I get it. So am i but the lift creaks more than i do. As i started with not complaints .. just comments. Overall the stay was great and we are already looking to come back in the summer. "

"Beautiful and spacious room with lovely colours, stylish paintings and peacocks view. One of the best spas I've been to with outdoor heated pool and gorgeous cafe. Elegant restaurant, luxurious staircase with paintings, grand exterior of the building and lovely landscapes."

"Very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Great spacious family room, clean and comfortable, with a lovely view from the window. Nice quiet location with places to eat in the evening a short walk away. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. Would definitely recommend."

"Comfortable room in easy walking distance from Buxton town centre and Buxton country park. A few pubs within minutes. Simple to check-in, although we were expecting to check in at 12 and were sent away for an hour (not a problem for us!) Easy enough to find roadside parking. Tea & coffee facilities and shower gel/shampoo a welcome touch. Mysteriously awoken by a fire alarm on our final morning which was quickly shut off… but otherwise very quiet making for a peaceful stay. "
