Great location, opposite the park and lovely, solid furniture in the room. Parking permits available in the property for a small fee worked well. Just the shower could do with an update. "We had a lovely weekend stay at this hotel, which is only a 10 minute walk from the city centre and close to York’s many attractions. Our air conditioned room was very clean, with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities, dressing table, hairdryer, iron, tv and plenty of power sockets. The en-suite had a spacious walk-in shower and toiletries were included. We used the hotel restaurant in the evenings and our meals were both well presented and delicious. The hotel bar had a good variety of beers, wine and spirits and there was also an outside seating area in the garden which included all-weather glass pods. The hotel staff were all very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable and made our time in the hotel such a fantastic and valued experience."
