The host Alex is a great all around person. He greeted me and walked the property with me. In addition, he provided me with great information about the Dover Castle and how to reach it. The castle is conveniently located a 20 minute uphill walk from the house. Another great convenient item is the Train station is an easy 20 minute walk through the city center. I highly recommend the Church Hill House. Also, Alex cooks a great breakfast.

The staff is utterly amazing! Everyone is wonderful, helpful and the food is terrific. If I ever go to England again I would stay without any reservation! American friendly despite it President!

This is a wonderful hotel under new ownership. The owner was very welcoming and served a superb breakfast. Highly recommended!

Margaret was incredibly helpful in providing suggestions on how to navigate the city and provided excellent suggestions for restaurants. The morning breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was very spacious, the couch was very comfortable and the bed was fantastic. After a full day of walking around Dover, this was a very special retreat. The views are just amazing. We will plan a trip to spend more time with Margaret.

Great location especially when going out on a cruise ship. Beautifully updated old hotel!

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff understands hospitality and will make you feel right at home. Our room was clean and spacious as well as extremely comfortable. We will stay again if we return to Dover

Great place for an overnight stay in Dover. Especially, if Dover is your cruise port. A great location if your intention is to spend a few days exploring Dover. Highly recommend you contact this property ahead of time should you require securing your luggage prior to checking in or after checking out. Room #6 is on the top floor (2nd floor) accessible by stairs only. Room #6 has a very small ensuite bathroom which includes a very small shower. This shower is difficult to enter and exit if...

Place was very close to the Dover Castle and Cruise Port. John was excellent host. Place had a lot of charm. Residence is 226 years old and great to stay at.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel last week. It is run by a kind and friendly woman went out of her way to make our stay superb. The room was spacious and well decorated. Even though it is an old home, the bathrooms are up to date and it was clean. It was quite and very comfortable. We definitely recommend having breakfast at the hotel. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Dover.

This is the Best Best Western I have ever seen. It felt like we were in the Victorian period. No A/C in guest rooms, ocean breeze through windows and fan were just fine. The staff was amazing arranging dinner and taxis since there in no Uber/Bolt/Lyft. Hanna especially was beyond helpful and accommodating.

The staff were super helpful and friendly and the hotel was lovely and in a great location for walking around and exploring Folkstone and the beach!

Really effective air conditioning. Excellent breakfast. Bathtub. Best possible location, on seafront, next to shops, station and castle.

The view was fantastic! The room was super clean and modern! Also the buffet breakfast was absolutely amazing with everything you could want! Would definitely stay again!

We would stay here again. Breakfast was delicious and the ladies were very nice. Overall the hotel was just what we needed for our stay.
