"Nous sommes arrivés en plein tempête tropicale (lana) d'août 2026, et Marco a su nous rassurer et prendre soin de nous. Malgré des coupures de courant, il a pu activer le groupe électrogène pour nous permettre de charger nos téléphones, et prendre des informations sur la tempête. L'endroit est suffisamment grand pour accueillir 9 personnes, les chambre sont spacieuses, la cuisine bien équipée, et un effort est mis pour le recyclage et le compostage (rare aux USA pour être souligné !). Il manque peut être quelques jeux de société, qui nous auraient bien servi pendant la tempête ! Mais sinon, rien à redire."

"Staying at Volcano Acres was truly one of the most special parts of my Big Island trip. The peaceful pond, adorable animals, and beautiful surroundings made it feel like a little sanctuary. Inside, every detail showed so much thought and care: the comfortable cotton sheets, cozy robe, delicious coffee, helpful notebook, and all the little touches that made the room feel warm and welcoming. The breakfast was exceptional: fresh, high-quality, and beautifully prepared. I especially loved the wonderful fresh papaya Evie prepared. You could feel the care that went into everything. But what made this stay unforgettable was Theresa. She is the kind of person who puts her whole heart into what she does, and I could genuinely feel her kindness and caring throughout my stay. I feel lucky not only to have stayed here, but to have met her and had the chance to have a meaningful conversation with her. This is much more than a beautiful place to stay. It has heart, and that is something you don’t find everywhere. I left feeling genuinely grateful that I chose this place. ❤️🌿"

"This was by far the best stay I had on my entire trip! Tucked away in the cutest little village, this perfect gem has all the charm and feel of the island. You can truly see the care put into every detail of the interior, making the entire stay feel warm, authentic, and inviting. My favorite part was hearing the frogs at night. I opened the windows, listened to the sounds of the island, and had one of the most peaceful nights of sleep on the entire trip. I will definitely be back! If you’re visiting Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, I highly recommend staying at this charming little Chalet Kilauea. You won’t be disappointed!"

"From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. The room was great and spacious. It does get cold at night, but there is a portable heater in the room. The staff was literally a text away. I didn't want for anything. John was very pleasant and a joy to talk to. I will definitely put this on my hotels to stay at again."

Volcano Rainforest Retreat

"Lovely spot to enjoy Volcano National Park. The small town is quite limited, so maybe not ideal for a long stay. The Bamboo Guest house was well suited for our family of four. Our two children slept on the “floor futons” and were very comfortable. The house is not air conditioned, which means the windows must be open when it is warm out, allowing some bugs and moisture in. But, the rain forest vibes are pretty nice. Really enjoyed the Japanese soaking tub. WiFi is very spotty. Host was lovely and the breakfast fruit and breads were nice additions."

Tropical 1-bedroom cabin. Five minute drive to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

"Ottimo posto per andare al parco del vulcano! Casa molto grande e spaziosa con tutto il necessario per cucinare! Host molto gentile e disponibile che mi ha aiutato a seguito di una dimenticanza di oggetti personali nella camera per recuperarli! Raccomandato"
