"Very nice clean hotel with efficient and pleasant staff. Very good location. Walking distance to town centre. Paying for parking was a disappointment as we thought car park was included as when we booked it said parking at rear but no mention of payment."

"This is a hotel with great charm, history and a welcoming, classy atmosphere. The staff were all outstanding, warm, friendly, professional and keen to provide high standards of hospitality and service. Our room was well appointed, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect. Bar and restaurant extremely good. Only slight downside was that some aspects of the room would benefit from a refurb/refresh, a bit of investment needed. We would not hesitate to return, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Special thanks to the day and evening bartenders, check in team, breakfast team, concierge and night manager (wish I’d got their names). Be careful re the carpark, register before you go to pay online as if you try to register after leaving you face a fine as we found to our cost. For us we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Chester now and look forward to our next visit. "

"Stayed here for a second time and it’s a lovely hotel. Room was quiet. Stayed in the small double which was perfect for one person for a few nights. Bed was very comfy and cosy. Bathroom and shower were great too. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would stay here again if in Liverpool for it being a lovely hotel and in a great location. This hotel doesn’t serve breakfast which didn’t bother me anyway."

"Spacious rooms with terrace, right on the canal , breakfast was lovely , we also had steak in the Evening was delicious,very easy access to the town , and if you wanted a taxi you just pressed the button and it was outside in 5 min"

"Gorgeous studio room, although there was an awful smell in the shower because it hadn't aired out. Monday morning was terrible when we were woken up by workmen in the room / roof above us, really annoying that we weren't warned about it or maybe been given a different room to begin with. Central location is great. Spa was good but very crowded for a Monday, so would not recommend visiting at a weekend or in peak times. Pillow selection could be better, far too soft."
