"Location location! It was wonderful to be oceanfront with a balcony. What was a surprise were the sunset views over the wetlands. Since the resort is at the end of the road, the beach walks were amazing! The bed was comfortable and to have 1 1/2 baths for the two of us was very convenient. The property while dated had friendly staff. For a unique experience of natural beauty with all the comforts of home, we recommend Shell Island Resort."

"We would stay here again. King bed was comfortable and pull out sofa was enough for our daughter . Quiet- easy to park and access rooms as the property is not Huge. Helpful housekeeping gave new towels etc Kitchen did not have many pots - was ok as we were not planning to cook - would have been somewhat difficult. Al in all - great stay ! "

"House is exactly as shown, lovely soothing decor. Unbelievable amount of towels (!!) in smartly renovated bathrooms. Plenty of parking under the house for additional dinner guests. Empty lot across the street seals the deal on a gorgeous view :)) Owner considerately provided a late check out upon request."
