"This was a charming little spot. The host and staff really went above and beyond to make me feel at home. He took me and some other guests to a local festival that I never would have otherwise known about, and wound up being one of the highlights of the trip. If you want an authentic connection to what’s going on in Yudanaka, this place is for you. The hotel is super interesting, with a very nice Onsen. You also get access to some local Onsen that would otherwise be inaccessible to tourists. As someone who lived in Japan for several years, has travelled extensively in the country, and speaks the language, let me just reiterate other comments here: this is a really unique and cool place."

"This hotel is a beautiful ryokan and onsen. We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed it. We ate breakfast and dinner at the ryokan and really enjoyed the food - meals are 7 courses and food quality is top notch. We would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Yudanaka. They have a private onsen which we also booked so my husband and I could use the onsen together. "

"Amazing stay. The gentleman at the front desk who spoke great English was lovely, he helped us with everything and was also attentive during our kaiseki dinner, helping explain everything. We had a tatami room, it was nice, the bathroom a little dated, but the onsen was fabulous. The outdoor onsen was beautiful. Loved our stay here and can recommend it to anyone."

"Plenty of parking lot. Very nice female staff member who spoke some English and provided a Yukata for our 6 year old. Large, excellent room with amazing views. Value for money. Green tea provided. Had mostly private onsen experience ie hardly anyone around for both the outdoor and indoor onsen when we visited in early April 2025. Only few minutes drive from Snow monkey carpark. Of the 9 places we stayed in Japan, was our favourite."
