Hotel Niwa Tokyo

"Staff were very helpful with any issues we encountered. The hotel room was clean but we arrived and found a chair broken. They quickly came up to switch it out. The bathroom is spacious in the three bed room but the layout makes it so that only one person can be in the toilet or in the shower at a time since both glass doors aren’t frosted. The tub also had mold on the wood so we avoided using the wood bath. Location is great to get to the nearest station and had wonderful dinner spots nearby. The restaurants in the hotel are much more expensive for what it’s worth. The shared spaces are wonderful. The laundry room smells very moldy and is 600 yen per load to wash and another for an hour of drying time. Great stay overall minus the few amenities with issues we ran into."

"We had a long trip. Difficult to figure out the trains lol (By the way second day it's much easier. It was just cause we were sleep deprived) Anyway, got the most kind gentlemen when we checked in around 9 PM. Had a translating machine on the counter. The room did have a little bit of an odd smell kind of musty, but it cleared up really fast. there was also air freshener in the room.It was very clean. The beds are firm, but truthfully, we were so tired didn't even matter. It was still very comfortable. Air-conditioning worked great. They're holding onto our luggage while we're traveling around just on a day trip before we pick it back up to go to a different city. No extra charge. I feel very safe leaving bags there. Would definitely recommend!"

"This hotel was perfectly located across the road from the train station and around the corner from a great supermarket. There was also an amazing Italian restaurant up the street a little that did takeaway and was well priced. The rooms were quite small. We only had small suitcases but there wasn't really room to open them. I had to sit mine on a little chair under the window which blocked the walking area. My husband had to put his in the walkway, blocking the bathroom/entry door. The fridge was tiny (drink bottles could not stand) and didn't have freezer space. The staff said they couldn't assist us organise a taxi for our group of 6 people as they only help with the little taxi's, and they couldn't give us any guidance. There is a buffet breakfast that is pretty amazing, including soft serve ice cream. Overall the location was great, but the room comfort was a little under par."

"Nice television set - it had alternate streaming choices built into the software. And the washer/dryer was a really great addition. Also, they did have nice expresso/coffee machine and a fresh water/soda water dispenser. but there's really no formal, serve yourself breakfast bar."

"Really good hotel. Only thing I would say is rooms are typical small Japanese rooms. The AC NEEDS to be able to go below 70 degrees! Other than that I loved my stay regardless."
