"Clearly the owner put a lot of thought into equipping this for travelers. The coffee station, especially, wowed my husband and was the best we've ever seen in a rental. The tub worked great. It was very clean, with no bugs seen (unusual for a HI rental—the place we stayed after this had Gregor Samsa for a roommate), and that's a testiment to how well it's kept. There's every cooking implement you could ever want, but if you plan to do much cooking, pick up some cooking spray/oil and favorite...

"Had a wonderful stay at this location, very roomy and bright. Rooms were clean and comfortable with lots of windows that made the place feel very open. I was a little concerned with only one A/C unit in the main room, but we actually didn't use it at all during our stay. The location is great and everything we wanted do was a short drive away. One word of caution for anyone with mobility issues, the unit is located up an internal flight of stairs. This wasn't a issue for us but might be good to...

"This property was great, the only thing that I would say was that the A/C wasn’t preforming the way is should have. Other than that everything else was just awesome, the place was very clean and the location was in a good spot. We are from Hawaii and we came back to visit our family. We would definitely recommend this property for anyone who is staying to visit family in the Puna area, or even just to explore the island. Thank you for a wonderful experience. "

"Beautifully decorated with fresh plants/flowers. Nice secluded location just a few minutes from the volcano. The owner notified us on our first morning that a new eruption had started earlier; and we were able to make it there to witness it. Loved the shower and the comfortable beds. Provided lots of vacation supplies (such as umbrellas and snorkel gear) and a well stocked food pantry."

"Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up."

"Perfect! Nice and private home with lots of birds and plenty of parking. Kitchen is well equipped and house is situated between the towns of Hilo and Pahoa. If the volcano starts to fountain you can up there in a quick 35 minutes. Highly recommended."
