"We had a wonderful stay at The Hotel Contessa. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met. We were in town for the NBA Finals. The free shuttle provided by the hotel to and from the game made for a smooth experience and our driver went above and beyond and was so friendly and helpful."

"Do not stay here! I would never wish to stay at this hotel unless it were my absolute last option! I booked a room with a balcony which I was told didn’t exist. Indeed they do exist but for some reason there must had been none available. I reserved and paid for one so that was the first disappointment of many. The rooms are as clean as could possibly be for a hotel of its age so I have zero complaints where that is concerned and commend the cleaning staff. The walls are super thin and you can literally hear every single thing your neighbor is saying. I was on the fifth floor in a double room just doing a staycation with a friend. We didn’t expect it to be five star but did expect to feel safe. We did not feel safe and contemplated just leaving in the middle of the night driving back to our homes in San Antonio. It was not an expensive stay but regardless a miserable one."

"Good hotel for individuals looking to be close to the San Antonio night life and river walk. Not the best hotel for families with little ones looking to get an early night sleep. Parking not available on hotel ground, only Valet parking available or paid parking lots. Staff personnel were top notch."

"Well this is my hotel of choice when visiting back home in San Antonio. My visit back on the weekend of May 29th the room had the previous guest towels hanging from the shower head which I thought was disgusting and unclean and my recent stay on June 5th weekend there was hair in the bed and for some reason none of the rooms I've ever stayed in drain properly so the water just rises while you're showering, so annoying."
