"My superior room was so dirty dust on the floor everywher stains on the tables everywhere it seems like cleaning means only bed dressing in this hotel and no vacume no table cleaning, breakfast was another thing that disappointed me I never been in a five star hotel that dont serve omlet even four star hotels do this when I adked they told me I have to pay extra !! The breakfast was so basic like a three star hotel"

"You climate is not working, always 18 degrees if you turn the heating/AC to 22 degrees only cold air comes out, we have been here 5 times now maybe the last. Last time you upgraded us to a "hot" room which was north oriented why not grant us with a south oriented room where the sun is ??? the best about the hotel is your breakfast at 9th floor with a spectacular view, and the location is perfect as well next to taksim square"

"We had a wonderful stay at The Marmara Taksim in the Flying Carpet Suite, which was stunning with amazing views over the Golden Horn and Bosphorus. The suite was beautifully presented and very clean. The service throughout our stay was excellent. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful and professional. A special mention must go to Fatma, the Guest Relations Manager, who was fantastic and went out of her way to help us during our stay. Koray from the concierge team was also excellent and arranged a great sunset boat trip, restaurant booking and spa treatment. The Turkish bath and massage experience at the hotel spa was excellent. Club Lounge access was a lovely benefit with snacks, drinks and great views. Housekeeping was excellent, and we also really enjoyed Café Marmara, which had excellent food, desserts and chocolates. A 15% discount for hotel guests was a bonus. The rooftop bar is worth visiting for the views, although quite pricey. The only disappointment was that the swimming pool was not opening until after we left. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend the hotel. The location is excellent, right by Taksim Square and very convenient for exploring Istanbul - particularly easy access to the funicular to take you down to the coast (and more importantly back up!)."

"The hotel was doing internal building work next door to my room. The noise was deafening at points and work me early. They should really avoid putting people in rooms when they are doing very loud building work next door. I complained as I checked out (stayed for one night) and the staff were unmoved and didn’t seem to care."

"The exterior and entrance are beautiful, but that is where the 5-star experience ends. The rooms are nice, yet the windows were extremely dirty and the view was terrible. Breakfast was a major disappointment, more like a 3-star level: industrial quality pastries, undercooked muffins, and poor savory options. Surprisingly, the Ibis near the Istanbul Fair offers better quality and choice for a fifth of the price. The SPA lacks a whirlpool, and the sauna and hammam are mediocre for this category. Furthermore, the noise from the rooftop restaurant was deafening until 1:00 AM, even on the 7th floor. I do not recommend this hotel as there are much better 4 and 5-star options nearby for a lower or similar price. Don't be fooled by the magnificent facade."
