"The room was great- exactly as described. The gentleman owner was kind - lived on the premises and spent a lot of our stay mowing the lawn and working in the gardens. Would be a bit uncomfortable for femme people traveling alone, but a good set up for people looking for conversation or company. "

"The view was spectacular! The layout is a bit odd as there is an upper and lower. The cooling pool (I assume that’s what the listing mentioned) is definitely in an awkward spot so if traveling with small children it’s something to be aware of. It was also full and not clean. We accidentally left a bag of garbage behind so my sincere apologies for that as the trash can outside was full. Otherwise, great location, beautiful home, and amazing views! "

"Had a great stay, was close enough to Salem to walk everyday. The place was clean and had all needed amenities. Even though it was on the third floor, it was still accessible and easy to get up. Also, it was separate and private despite being in a shared building which was nice. The host was very communicative and accommodating as well."

"We had a great time. The house is roomy, clean and cutely decorated. We enjoyed visiting many of Salem's historic locations including Proctor's Ledge Memorial on Gallows Hill, Essex street shops, and a haunted trolley ride.The Haunted Happenings Parade was amazing too. My husband and brother-in-law love the movie Hocus Pocus , so we were able to visit several of the filming sites in Salem and Marblehead. Swampscott is a beautiful area with historic restored homes. On Sunday there is a farmer's market there, and we were able to walk over and browse. Even though it wasn't beach season, I walked over and put my chair in the sand and relaxed with the sea breeze and sun while I read. Nancy, the host, was very responsive when the coffeemaker went on the fritz. "
