"The breakfast was included in our booking, I thought it would just be a continental one but we could chose anything from the menu. We were actually the only people staying on a cold night in winter but the staff made an effort to make us welcome. I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, the chef made the best scrambled eggs I've ever had with chopped chives that really elevated the dish. Bar and meal on the night we arrived were also excellent. Room comfortable and warm, shower hot and with good water pressure. Thoroughly recommend this place, a lovely traditional British pub."

"Small but perfectly formed, it's a lovely little cottage in a fabulous location. Communication from the owner was superb and all went very smoothly. Street parking nearby is easy enough to find and safe, so not having a parking space is no issue at all.The only niggle, as a light sleeper, is the streetlights outside are quite bright, so bring a mask if you like a fully dark room!"
