Cozy tiny cabin with Loft 10 minutes from DuPont State Park
10/10 Excellent
"What a wonderful place! I stayed here for my birthday weekend with my partner and I wish we could have stayed longer because we really enjoyed being there. This place is tucked away so perfectly but its very easy to find! The kitchen was fully equipped with all the things needed for cooking and cleaning. The loft area was low, we had to crawl in there lol but it was super comfy and we slept sooo good. The hot tub was very relaxing and there were great suggestions for food and activities left from the host. Everything inside and outside was incredibly clean. I think we will try to book this one again next year in the summer or fall! I do want to add in that the driveway was sooooo steep, we chose to drive our truck because it has a tow package and all wheel drive, but there was a moment I felt like the my Subaru would have climbed the hill better ( because of the weight difference and length and also would have been slightly easier to back up and turn around) . I could be wrong about that. I don’t do much mountain climbing but either way we got up and down with a tiny struggle but like I said previously, SO SO worth the stay. We will be back one day :)"
Charming modern cabin near town and forest recreation. Storage for bikes.

"We always have enjoyed our time at Happy Acres! Everything is exactly what we need. The house is well kept up and the surrounding area is lovely. It's a very peaceful place. Thank you for sharing your home. "
"Everything about Brevard, Connestee Falls and the Tea House made this one of our favorite family vacations in North Carolina. The location is ideal for exploring this part of NC. The house was clean, new, cozy and the perfect size for our family of six (4 adults and 2 grandkids). The kitchen is well stocked and there is lots of room with the three levels for family activities or just relaxing. The owner is very responsive with any questions we had during our stay. All the roads in the community are paved so easy to get up and down the mountain. And with 4 entrances easy to get on the road you need to get where you're going. The Tea House is surrounded by trees which made morning coffee on the back porch so relaxing watching the squirrels play. We ate meals both inside and on the dining table on the porch. We cooked steaks on the grill one night but ate out most nights. We enjoyed the lake and the kids loved the playground there. The owner has a nice assortment of floats to take there. My son-in-law and I played golf one day at the Connestee Golf Course. Beautiful with trees and rolling hills and we saw a lot of deer while playing. The location is great for exploring the area. We went on a float trip down the French Broad River; did Sliding Rock and then drove up to the Pisgah Inn for lunch at 5000 feet. We went to three breweries (all family friendly) and a distillery. All said a fantastic vacation and we would enthusiastically stay at the Tea House again!"
"The location of this rental was amazing! We were within 15-25 minutes from all areas that were wanted to hike, except 1, which was a 40-minute drive, but very much worth it! We saw more deer in the neighborhood than we saw people! It was awesome. There were herds of deer, as many as 15 in one group we counted. Most mornings, fawns with their mothers were sitting in the yard amongst the trees. I wish that our stay could have been longer than 6 days. Hiking was exciting on neighborhood trails and the trails in the area. Connestee Falls, which is located right as you go into the main gate at the top of the hill, was amazing! We had breakfast and snacks at the house, but everything was available if you liked to cook. There was a wide variety of restaurants in town that we took advantage of since my idea of a vacation does not include cooking. :-) We did a Drive Thru at "Smoke On BBQ" on our way home one night that was fantastic! We had the best "street tacos" that I have ever experienced at "Casa Mexicana Taqueria", wonderful Paninis at "Wine Down on Main", and Burgers at "Brevard Diner". We hiked nearly 30 miles in 4 1/2 days. There were so many waterfalls to see, we lost count. The neighborhood itself could have given us another full week of activities if we had had the extended time. Joe and Linda's mountain home was perfectly inviting and made us feel comfortable and "at home" throughout our trip. Even our daughter and Gracie, our grandpuppy loved it! "
"This property is an excellent find for families who have varying ages. We stayed here for our family vacation with all of our children and our grandchildren. The host was magnificent with great communication and the property itself is adorned with excellence and tender, thought out care. You will not regret booking your stay at this VRBO. Does not disappoint! "
"House was awesome. Perfect for two families with young kids. Plenty of space but cozy. Dining and Rear porch overlooking a long range view of the mountains. Enter on top floor with two queen bedrooms, two baths, laundry off kitchen, living, dining and wrap around porch. Bottom level has private entrance with separate living, bath, wet bar, and bunk room. Owner was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend and will look to book again! "
