"The George in Hathersage is ideally located to explore the Peak District National Park. We had a standard room which wasn't overly large but perfectly adequate, including a large bed. The bathroom had up-to-date sanitaryware, including a fullsize bath with shower over. From the bathroom there were a few steps up to the bedroom. Central heating, tea/coffee facilities and modern furnishings. Staff were lovely to deal with whether in Reception, or the bar, or in the restaurant where breakfast was served. Full dinner menu was also available every evening and a rather quaint service of serving pizza cooked to order all day. Car park was quite spacious, including two EV charging points, and had a barrier to control entry and exit. No hesitation in recommending The George for your stay in the Peak District. "

"Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. "

"The property we stayed in was cosy and warm. Kitchen well equipped with everything you need. Bathroom/ shower lovely and clean. Beds were very comfy could not ask for more. "

"We have just returned from a couple of nights at Brewers Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage is spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and bigger than it seems from the photos. Foolow is convenient access to some lovely areas and walks in the Peak District, and just a 10-15 minute walk from the cottage is the local pub that does fabulous food and has very friendly staff. Do take a torch for the walk there and back on darker nights though!! All in all, a fantastic stay and we would return."
