"The Otter Hotel was just okay. Based on the photos, I expected a more upscale experience, but it felt more like a budget hotel. The elevator to our building was out of service for most of our stay, forcing us to carry luggage up and down three flights of stairs.
Housekeeping was disappointing. The room didn't feel very clean, the shower head looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, the sofa appeared worn, and trash was left in our room instead of being emptied. The beds were also very hard and not particularly comfortable.
The location is good, but overall I wasn't impressed and would choose a different hotel if I return to Banff."
