"We loved our stay at this wonderful house on a peaceful lake. Enjoyed lots of quiet relaxation on the main level balcony and the lower level deck and fire pit. We especially appreciated the hot tub, the grill, and the tables for dining out on the balcony overlooking the water. Although it's not a good spot for swimming due to waterplants, we did enjoy getting out on the lake in the kayaks and paddleboat. We also loved the well-supplied kitchen, and comfy beds. "This is an attractive historical building but hard to stay in. Check-in and breakfast are 1 mile away; this was not disclosed in the reservation process. There are no staff members on the premises, although when called in, Drakkar was friendly and helpful. Lighting in my room was very inconvenient -- no bathroom illumination, bedroom chandelier did not work, but florescent tube over bookcase could not be turned off.
