"Bob W at Hyde Park is a gorgeous building in a beautiful, quiet spot in Hyde Park about 10 minutes with your roller bags from Paddington Station, I discovered after I booked from a review that it is self service without a 'reception' noting there is a photo app face ID registration for pre check in (which seemed secure from research) and code for accessing a communal room where guests keep their bags in the basement which is locked, However! I was pleasantly surprised during my stay to find there was a girl on 'reception' (from another girl solo traveller). Whilst the girls at the entrance were lovely and happy to answer any questions it was not a formal reception/service in relation to offering assistance with tours, maps, recommended restaurants etc. I initially had a tiny single bed room which had second hand furniture with a small designer appointed bathroom but managed to upgrade and secure a double room, I understand you need to book early to get a lower rate. Thankful and grateful for the exceptional customer service I received via Whatsapp to address my needs on this stay. No amenities - gym, pool, breakfast etc but there seems to be a cafe on the ground floor but it seems to be servicing staff there. Excellent / 24 provision of coffee pods and tea on ground floor, No fridge I found it difficult to find somewhere to dine, lots of locals drinking wine in cool bars near by.. Found an amazing Chinese restaurant, Mandarin Kitchen ask for Charlie."

"Ok stay overall - the nearby mall was helpful and it's a relatively easy walk to Kensington High Street / Nottinghill Gate / Hyde Park, etc. The room (park view) was decent size for London and well-insulated to outside traffic noise. The bed seemed soft & lumpy and the duvet way too thick & hot for me. Appreciated the large shower. Staff were helpful, especially the restaurant/bar folks. Generally, the hotel tries a bit too hard to be 'hip and cool' (or something) but it feels very contrived and falls flat. I'd stay again for the right price but there are plenty of other options to consider in London."

"We had a double room on ground floor. I slept better than I have in weeks but unfortunately my partner was kept awake by the road outside (just one of those things). Was spotless and very helpful lady when we checked in. Only thing I would mention is property does not have a lift. If you aren't able to climb stairs make sure you mention it. We were lucky as in ground floor and I have limited mobility but will book this hotel again. We asked for a dinner recommendation and went to the Italian over the road. All I can say is wow really made things even better."
