Some of the pillows and cushions had an overwhelming smell of greasy hair. Sadly, I didn't notice until I moved around in the night and woke up heaving. The fridge in the room sounded like it was taking off, too.
This is a house on a residential street offering rooms for rent. I arrived at the property and called the number on the front door. The respondent was not very customer friendly and had me waiting around for 3 hours. I was finally given a key but no code to lock the room until I called again the next day. The property itself is pretty run down, has very thin walls, has a lingering smell of food in the air and has no daily cleaning service. I would only recommend if you desperately need a room for a night.
first of all they didont give my choosen room, secondly i booked for 28 to 30 January,They text me 28 morning And told me my choosen room was changed. They sent me new address, few month ago they did same things with me.Thirdly when i was in room another couple open my room from out-site and told me they also booked same room. This is really unprofessional behaviour .The pillow and bed was very bad conditions ,i think they use this pillow from last 7-8 years.Only one light was active in the room.Wifi service very poor its like someone donated internet to them.Overall i've very bad experience to them.
Do not Book - Avoid at all costs.
Firstly, we arrived and the key coded door was not shut so the property was not secured.
Secondly, the bathroom was far from clean. Dirt, mould and grime all over the showerhead and around the shower screen, floor filthy and covered in hair. Only 2 toilet rolls provided for a three bedroom property. When I asked for more the 2nd day, it took over 3 hours for someone to attend (We needed up going elsewhere to use facilities).
The first night we arrived after being out with local friends and came back to a very odd guy leaving the adjacent room to ours, blocking our way up the stairs - I did not feel safe. Then the person in the next was up all night on the phone on loud speaker/video chat and was not thoughtful of other guests. (Again, welcome message said to keep noise down after 8pm)
Two single beds which where smaller than standard single beds and extremely uncomfortable (mattress sunk into the bed frame when sitting on it so base was clearly broken) The sink in the room was a kitchen sink in a makeshift worktop which was bowed so the sink was not actually fitted into the worktop -unsafe.
The welcome text stated we would be able to use the living area, garden and kitchen. Kitchen was non existent and was just a utility room with cupboard doors hanging off and the garden you couldn't see the patio area due to knee length weeds.
I know we didn't pay much for the property, but I expected there to be a set level of cleanliness and upkeep.
