The Financial District is tucked away in Lower Manhattan, but it’s close to the Brooklyn Bridge—perfect for a walk—and also close to the Staten Island Ferry, which is free. Overall, if most of your plans are in Upper Manhattan, staying in FiDi may not be ideal, but it’s a great option for the price. Also they have complimentary breakfast and wine and cheese hour."
