"The place was very nice and clean and directly across from beach near convenient access point. Parking was tight for a crossover SUV but we were able to park in larger space. The balcony is accessed through 2nd bedroom and very narrow space. "
"Plenty of space for my family of 3 for 5 days. Literally steps from the beach. Quiet, never saw another person during our time, yet plenty of cars in parking lot to account for others being on the property."

"We traveled to N Myrtle Beach for a brief outing — just one night. We tried the Avista and loved it. They have an assortment of pools and hot tubs as well as a lazy river. Staff were friendly and helpful."

"The ProsThe house is spacious, easily accommodating 2 families. The house is just steps from the beach through the backyard gate. The views of the ocean and beach from the balconies are stunning. All the features/amenities listed in the advertisement on VRBO are available in the house, including but not limited to a private swimming pool with hot tub, pool table, TV/movie theater seating, basketball hoop, etc. Both kitchens have been completely renovated, and some of the bathrooms have been upgraded as well. The ConsThis is not a quiet residential neighborhood. The house is surrounded by shops and bars/restaurants on one side, and hotels and apartment buildings on the other side. There is a high-rise apartment building on one side of the house, and a 4-story apartment building on the other side. As a result, the beach can get crowded at times. The landscaping needs work. The bottom floor smelled of mold/mildew, making it difficult to spend much time there, especially for watching a TV show or movie. This is an old house, and while some rooms were renovated/upgraded, most were not.The furniture is old. You will sink down into the dining room chairs on the 2nd level and feel like you are going to fall through any second. Our Specific ExperienceThe ad on VRBO promised “luxury,” which included a house on the beach with “stunning” views, private swimming pool, hot tub, pool table, home theater and more. After 10 hours of driving, we were looking forward to a relaxing and re"
