"The staff was very attentive and helpful. The room was small but comfortable and cozy. It has no AC, but the staff provided a fan and the temperature outside was cold so just opening the window was enough. The hotel is also very close to Paddington Station so there are no issues with moving around. If I were to visit London again, I would more than likely choose this place again."

Hotels.com contacted the property directly and explained the situation in detail, including that the booking was not made by me and that I was in Stockholm at the time. The hotel acknowledged this but chose to proceed strictly under their policy and retain the payment. No one stayed at the property, and the reservation was never used. Despite being fully informed of the circumstances, the hotel declined to make any exception or show discretion. If a hotel is unwilling to act reasonably in a situation involving an unauthorised transaction, it raises concerns about how they handle customer issues more broadly. I would advise caution and not to rely on goodwill or flexibility should any issue arise."

"Good location. Room was clean enough but the walls were very thin you could hear everything in the next room and the whole hotel smelt very clinical like a hospital."

"The room was quite dated as was the whole hotel. There was a laundry truck unloading for about two hours in between 2-4 am outside the room in the back alley (rough timings, I wasn't checking the clock in the middle of the night). It interrupted my sleep for a while. When I mentioned it to the receptionist in the morning he apologised but didn't seem too bothered. There is one thing I want from a hotel and it's a good night's sleep."
