"The hotel was very calm and quiet. Room was comfortable and clean. The 415 bus to York was easy to access. A good choice available for breakfast. Evening mesls st the Fat Abbott pub were fantastic. Lovely pub with great good. Cloisters Spa was really good and i enjoyed an excellent full body swedish massage. Excellent. Relaxing 2 night stay, just what I needed. "

"Beautiful hotel. From walking through car park right to room - everything, everywhere was clean, tidy and really well looked after. Restaurant serves really good quality food and the staff were fabulous - even though they were really busy with a wedding party. The room was amazing - lively size, spacious and clean. All facilities (kettle, hairdryer etc) all available and good quality. "

"Checked in early ...Much appreciated after a long haul flight. Quick check in. Plenty of free parking immediately outside hotel room. Room was great size on the ground floor but with fencing in front of the windows for privacy which I loved. Big bathroom great shower. Bed very comfortable. Coffee and tea facilities. Quiet room despite a few events being held in a hall opposite. Great location for me visiting family. Definitely recommend. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND A CAR I think it would be...

"Was staying only for one night. A stunning building. Room very clean. Bed very comfortable - had trouble waking up! A delicious cooked breakfast which also included pastries and croissants. Helpful and friendly lady on the desk in Health Spa."

"Fabulous hotel. The food was first class, the staff were friendly and the service was excellent. We stayed in one of the cottages. everything was excellent, clean and comfortable, all the facilities you would except were available. If I am being pedantic, the decor in the cottage was dated compared to the main hotel, but some may love the styling. We will definitely stay again "
