"This hotel is as wonderful as they say. Absolutely beautiful. The restaurant is delicious and has the best coffee. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I cannot say enough good. We stayed here for 1 night, pre cruise out of Southampton. It was only a 30 minute taxi ride to port. Romsey is a small (1,000 people) town, the prettiest little English town you'll ever see. I wish we could have stayed longer. Not touristy and easy to navigate. One of those "out of the way" " off...

"It was a lovely stay, but I thought that it lacked the extra little touches and attention to detail that a five-star hotel would have over a three or four star hotel. The room was clean, and staff friendly."

"the room was very clean and spacious, lovely rain shower. check in was easy in the restaurant below and the staff were really helpful. there is a separate door for guests in the rooms so you can let yourself in at any time of day/night. a small outdoor space. car park very close by and reasonably priced. no charge on Sunday. very convenient for walking into town. would definitely stat again if i return to Winchester, which is a fabulous historic town"
