"Everything was fine except i arrived at 6 am and was told to wait until 1500 for check in. Fine whatever cant you check the rooms ? Is it ready or ar you just standing on protocal? And because i had to wait, i was unable to get breakfast as i didnt make a reservation. But i was there at 6 am? Maybe ask if id like to eat 🤔. And they charged extra money for my daughter even though i paid for 2 people. Why its my room who cares who visits. Place sucks "

"Got there at 10:15pm and found out check in ended at 10pm. Couldn’t even get anyone on the messenger. Had no cell phone service in Japan. Wouldn’t recommend "

"OK. I’m going to start with the tough part: I can’t understand how the door locks on the room can be allowed. They are not at all safe. The door can be locked FROM THE OUTSIDE by someone else, and the people inside can be locked into their room!! Massive fire hazard. The mgmt really do need to look into a different system. Secondly, the door “lock” from the inside is insuffient: it is like a very small/wimpy latch that could easily be rendered useless by an intruder. As two women travelling (mother/daughter) I was very aware that the others staying at the guest house were all men. No staff onsite. With these two items rectified it would render a higher rating from me. The room was quirky, but clean. Has toilets down the hall, and a bath/shower room on the main floor. Help yourself to free ear plugs at the door, as the walls are not soundproofed and you will hear it all! Checking in and getting the key through an iPad felt like a geocaching experience. The neighbourhood is quiet but lovely, literally a handful of steps from the Enoden train line’s Hase station and a short walk to the beach. Some lovely restaurants here but rarely open and some nights we had a tough time finding anything open. "
