"Loved walking around and shopping in charming, old Swiss Appenzell as well as the variety of restaurants. Our room was comfortable and the owner and employeesâ attention to details made it special, like a terrarium in the bathroom, good breakfast included, limited parking in their lot, and a large selection of tv channels. "Our stay was wonderful. The room was clean and spacious. The sister hotel, Hotel Romantik Santis, was also excellent. The sauna is located offsite (not at Hecht) but was easy to reserve. Also, I highly recommend the restaurant at Santis. The food, wine menu, and service were outstanding."
"The Schafli is a companion hotel to the Hotel Uzwil which is a good 4*.
Breakfast was at the Uzwil, a 10 minute walk but worth it as an above average breakfast in a lovely clean restaurant.
The bedroom at Schafli was clean, good sized shower room and functional. No staff on site and seems to cater over business overnight customers.
Very handy for the excellent rain service across Switzerland and cheaper than Zurich"
"The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet.The room was an OK size. The bathroom was a bit small but with the sink being in a separate area there was good space. The hotel is right on the doorstep of the Abbey District and other attractions are a short walk away. There is also good public transport connections nearby if you're looking to travel out further. The train station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel."

"Excellent and nice surprise - great price- beautiful- staff- Marta at front desk amazing. Truly lovely and so helpful. Breakfast included that was a huge buffet - complimentary coffee in lobby and in the room was a surprise. First location in 2 weeks in Switzerland where I didnât have to pay for coffee. "Lake Constance is a wonderful area for vacations. The Plaza Hotel in Friedrichshafen is located a bit outside of downtown. Its a hotel with breakfast only. No restaurants nearby. Parking was a bit of a challenge at times, more cars than spaces. Breakfast buffet was excellent every day. The service was pleasant/friendly. "
"Very decent standard of IHG property, new and modern with all the facilities you'd expect. Staff were friendly and helpful and tried their best at all times.
Breakfast can get very hectic and there needs to be a better timed booking system and a system where people don't hang about reading newspapers - that can be done elsewhere (their room for instance!)
Water needs to be provided in take-away plastic bottles and not the glass/crown cap style at the moment.
A/C control needs much more improvement and the controls work correctly."

"The reception desk was located inside the Hotel Restaurant/Bar, which was a little surprising to us. Our key card to access the room was also used to activate lights, Air conditioning etc. in the room, which was unique. When walking through the corridor one would be listening to bird sounds and that was very nice and calming. Parking was available in a Parking Garage across the hotel for a fee collected by the hotel. Overall we had a great stay.
