"We absolutely loved Casa Shiva. We were there during the off season so everything was pretty quiet. We spent a LOT of time on the pier hanging out and reading and swimming - it was a breathtaking view and the water is beautiful! The employees were awesome - very friendly and helpful. Their breakfast was amazing too! We loved it and hope to be back. Its simple - not a lot of extra frills, which we loved. "

"Yay! What incredible value for money! It isn't the Ritz, but the room was comfortable, clean, the water was hot and it was a bargain on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. If you feel like being budget-conscious, but still want to go somewhere beautiful go here. We've got plenty of money, but what we saved on accomodation here - we got to spend of lots of daytime activities! After all, it's just a sleeping quarters! And you are able to go down to the pier and immerse yourself...

"New construction hotel so it feels modern and clean. AC unit in room is so nice to escape from the tropical heat of the day. Pool is refreshing, though on the smaller side. Great location to walk to various places throughout Bacalar. Highly recommended to rent a bike to get around much faster. "
