"We never got a true confirmation or check in information for this property. When we called VRBO (very difficult from abroad) they said this was a false listing (my daughter had to do this in the states as it was too difficult form afar). We eventually was reimbursed but we had to scramble to find a new place late a night on our own."

"The place was clean, outdoor garden and massage pool beautiful. There is an outdoor kitchen and dining table between the two bedrooms. Great for playing games or having a glass of wine. Very peaceful and charming. Beds are very comfortable. Staying in a unique jungle place was an experience and I can now check off my bucket list. "Beautifully designed and appointed; Casa Malaga feels like a luxury suite at a fine hotel. the grounds are gorgeous and there is a pharmacy and convenience store a block away; and Bacalar Town square is 5 blocks away, lagoon beach clubs and restaurant about 6 blocks away. "

"It was a nice quiet location up in town. The layout was nice with a nice cool breeze. The property manager lives nearby and was very attentive. Stores for basic necessities are close by but beach is a distance; car or bicycle is necessary. No potable water or means to light stove provided; base for water dispenser there but needed to buy garafone to use. Water sellers ride by the house beeping their horn several times a day so it is easy to get and matches can be found at store 2 blocks down the...

"The property was great and very secure. The beds were very comfortable. Could have used a bath mat of some kind sort to step out of the shower on. We also could have used more towels for 3 women for 5 nights(4) wasn’t enough. There were no beach towels provided. Had to ask for bottled water and trash bags as there wasn’t any.
