But the only reason I paid was because I didn't know how to get other places. There are plenty of other places around, you just have to find them. "In three months of budget travel this is the only accommodation I have left without spending a night. The room was infested with ants, in the bed and crawling along the walls. It was very hot, much hotter than the our doors, with a small swamp cooler in the closet but no fan or air-conditioning. The curtains between the room and the busy courtyard are sheer so privacy. Hosts were rude and unhelpful. Be aware that they only take cash. They want payment in dollars and charge 20% more if paid in...

"Really super location ( close to subway & new shopping mall) and a very "european" breakfast in bed. The room was small but manageable as we were out most of the day. We did have a leak in the bathroom ceiling but managed to communicate with lots of gestures. Witih very little Spanish we were able to communicate and get what we needed. ..but somtimes it was a challenge. Very friendly staff who tried to understand. A nice change from the "usual" North American standard"
