"This was a great place for a home base in Amsterdam. We walked everywhere. It was also close to a tram which is a super efficient way to get around the city when you’re too tired to walk any further. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. Beds were excellent. They had an ELEVATOR!"

"Friendly helpful staff. Canal view room though small (double economy) with not much floor space so anyone with a large suitcase will have problems. Has nice views and was surprisingly very quiet for sleeping except when people walk past the door talking at 4.45am in the corridor. Kettle in room and tv are good. If you need a fridge they have one in reception to leave things. Comfortable bed, good shower. Recommended and better than 3 stars."

"This hotel is in a great location for a few days in Amsterdam. It is close to the tram but you can walk everywhere to the major attractions and there are lots of local bars and restaurants nearby. The staff are lovely and exceptionally helpful - friendly and welcoming. The rooms and breakfast area is immaculately clean and newly renovated with a great shower. "If you don’t plan to spend a lot of time in your room and you don’t go in the summer, this is your place. It is an old building but very clean. Rooms are just big enough for the beds and maybe a chair but the bathroom is modern. There is NO room air conditioning which I did not realize but we had a canal view room and opened the large windows which made it perfect."

"The hotel is an easy 10–15-minute walk from the Central train station. Our room was clean. The breakfast (extra cost) included hot sausage, eggs and bacon as well as the usual pastries (wonderful), rolls, cheeses, and cold cuts. "

"We were surprised at how large the room was for being a city hotel. A nice wardrobe with shelves worked well for 3 ladies with too much stuff. Tram stop outside the door. A 5-7 minute walk from central station. Our room had a small sink and hot plate which we never used. Many dining and shopping options very close by. We paid for the buffet breakfast and we were pleased with the options. Our last morning we had to catch a train and the staff made us up takeaway breakfast. "

"The room was nice and clean. Got a room with a tub which is rare these days. A soak was nice after a day of walking and bike riding. Could have used a little more light in the room, it seemed a little dark. It was close to the city center and close to the Metro."
