When I asked the front desk staff why the room does not appear to match the photos, the staff replied the photos were from many many years ago."

"We stayed in the Star Anise room, which was spacious, and the staff are really nice, however the bathroom had mould all over and the room generally wasn't very clean. For us, the immediate surroundings weren't very nice at all and you can smell the stink from outside coming into the room. A step up from a hostel, but a massive step down from a decent hotel. "
