"Lovely hotel with lots of character and history. Lots of shops on the doorstep. Beautiful location, we had a walk along the river. Staff very friendly. Would recommend."

"We had a lovely stay, comfortable room and a great view. Alison made us very welcome and was very helpful. Breakfast was served to our liking with a choice of traditional or continental. Good drinks and snacks in the room, that were well received. Bathroom had a great shower, but the space around the sink and toilet was very limited. The sink was tilted and seemed to be precarious and easily dribbled water onto the floor. I think the location is really good and the overall decor is is well considered. Some small door hooks would be helpful on the rear of the main door. Hopefully we will be back soon to enjoy another stay."
