Such a hidden gem! We wish we could stay longer and will definitely do so the next time. The hotel is up in the mountain, 10 min away from the Manarola bus stop, perfect location for a quiet and relaxing retreat, The bus runs every hour and is 2.50 Euro if you don't have Cinque Terre pass. Highly recommend Pensione Sorriso for a stay in Vernazza. Evelyn was a wonderful host and went beyond expectations in helping us enjoy our stay. The hotel has a bright breakfast area/lobby and a nice patio/garden to enjoy. We stayed in a room with a private bath and balcony. Although no sea view from the rooms, there is one from the patio and the sea is only a two or three minute walk from the hotel.

Amazing! Love how this place is slightly away from the center of town. The hill to the hotel was a pain but definitely worth it!

Great location for hiking the cinque terre trails

This was such a lovely little place in Riomaggiore! The accommodations were comfortable and Andrea went out of his way to welcome us and even carried our luggage up all the stairs for us! This whole area is VERY hilly and there are LOTS of steps everywhere, so be prepared for a great leg workout!

Absolutely prime location. Very basic accommodation that may not suit everyone but those on a budget will love it.

Extremely comfy beds and pillows, cold a/c, big shower, staff very friendly, luggage storage, beach towel & shower available on checkout day after going to beach! Short 5 min walk from train station and 2 min walk to beach. Would recommend.

We had an amazing view of the harbor. The balcony overlooking the center of Vernazza was so wonderful, we sat out there with a glass of wine every evening. It was nice having a washer after long hikes.

(We traveled 9 days in Italy during what locals called the "off season" from March 6th to March 17th, 2015). We traveled from the U.S. 88 Miglia was spectacular. The best view in all of La Spezia. The hike to the hotel took us through a nice neighborhood with cool views. The owners were so nice and welcomed us well. We took the local train to Manarola and Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre area (very close to La Spezia). We would visit 88 Miglia again!

I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting La Spezia, Portovenere or Cinque Terre. Short car drive to catch the ferry or train! House has a beautiful Mountain View, Italian breakfast was amazing, room was comfortable with a very nice bathroom but most importantly, staff was very welcoming and gave us amazing tips as to how to make the most of our short stay in La Spezia. We will be back!

We booked this room based on the reviews and ratings this B&B received on Expedia. We were not disappointed with our choice. A beautiful location nestled in the hills above La Spezia. It is both a nature retreat and a great strategic location for visiting the Cinque Terre area in Italy.
