We had a family room so the girls had their own twin beds in a shared wall area, complete with nice closet and unique architecture. They slept well. "Run by a lovely family. This hotel is right on the John o’Groats trail (and in the centre of Tain) and provided a very comfortable nights stay after a long days walk. I noticed it also provides /thinks of the details that not all hotels (along the trail) do…. Bottled water, big pack of shortbread, giant tv (not the tiny wee ones you often get on the wall), alarm clock, in shower mat…."

It was clean and the room was warm on a cold rainy evening. A tip for hot water is that you have to turn the hot water button on that is just outside the bathroom door near the light switch. Great hot water, but don't turn the bottom knob all the way to the right or else it will just get scalding hot and then...

"From the beginning to end of the stay was wonderful! The room was amazing! The food was perfect! If you want a place to stat, this place is a must! They set up a cab for us to go around and arranged for dinner and breakfast for us. My only regret is we didn’t stay longer. Staff are welcoming and helpful. "
