"The hotel is beautifully designed and maintained. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The location was quite a shock as the hotel is situated in a 2 km stretch of restaurants, souvenir shops, and noisy clubs across from the beach. We would have preferred a quaint setting in the Old Town."

"This was our 6th trip here, so obviously there is a lot to love. Three times as a couple, this was 3rd with two younger generations. Staff are lovely - although there is a risk of wine recommendations becoming a sales pitch. There are lots more hotel-organised trips available than before. This can provide comfort and confidence to new visitors but you can save money if you choose to arrange them yourself. Pool area is beautifully kept and clean. "The Savus Boutique Hotel was perfect. The service and attentiveness by Lucia, Alexandria, and Gianni’s? Were great. Perfect size, big enough to be a full business- small enough for personal attention. English is spoken by staff. Breakfast on the large patio is perfect for several guests at a time, and the food was a great combo of cold and hot dishes plus prepared eggs! Location is right at the line between old town and the newer section. We will stay there again if our travels take us to Crete."

Fresh towels and bed linen mid week, unprompted texts suggesting places to visit, offers of help when I was unwell, daily bin emptying and toilet roll replenishment and offers of coffee whenever at the pool area. Local restaurants superb and reasonably priced. Warm sea to swim in. Pool area clean and plenty of sun-beds. Loads of free parking. I would stay here again."

"We had a 2 night stay as part of our 2 week holiday in another part of Crete. We absolutely loved it. The room and facilitates were really good. Very comfortable beds. Fantastic view from our room big balcony with chairs. Great pool and sun longers, swing seats in lovely grounds. The owners were lovely people and should be so proud of their achievements. Included breakfast was good sitting on the communal balcony enjoying the view. We had dinner one night and were very impressed 15 euros...

"I would like to recommend this hotel. It's safe and good for kids. Staffs were friendly, specially hotel manager was very helpful. Breakfast and dinner was also good with different choices. Rethynmo centre is not far from hotel, you can find bus outside hotel (Euro 1.20). You can find excursion/travel agency outside hotel (buses will pick you from outside of hotel) if you don't have car."
