"The hotel is nice. The building seems to have been converted from a country house and the interior decorations are quite nice. The staff are friendly and eager to help. We didn’t try the evening meal but the breakfast was good. The hotel doesn’t have a lift, although there aren’t too many steps, still a lift seemed necessary. Also the bathroom seemed to be in need of refurbishment. I would give the overall experience four out of five."

"Free parking, so big that local vintage car club used it as meeting point. Enjoyed the duck for dinner and cooked breakfast in the morning. Room was bigger than expected, clean and quiet. Some parts looked like they needed redecorating but it is an old coaching inn. Only ten minutes from Dyrham Park."

"Our stay was lovely. Couldn’t fault the service the only downside was the bed and pillows were not comfortable and the rooms are hot, so could each do with a fan in at least rather than having to get one from the pantry "
