"Convenient for public transport and the castle was within walking distance. Unfortunately i was given a smoking room which stank like an old ashtray. The room was heavily nicotine stained and even after using freshner it still smelt.the Free breakfast was limited in choice and not topped up, so first in best selection. "Amazing onsen! I booked a room with a private open air onsen for end of March 2024 and was blown away at how nice my room and the entire hotel was. The facility was impeccable, food was good, staff was super nice and my room was so great. I was only there two nights and regret not staying longer. I will definitely come back to this onsen. "The onsen (woman) has both indoor n outdoor pool plus cold bath. They provided all the amenities one would need. Front desk services were good. They helped with filling out forms for luggage forwarding. Welcome drink after checkout and ramen at night for free. Room was very clean. About 5 mins walk from Matsumoto station. We simply walk around to do tourist stuff. I would highly recommend this hotel. "

The hotel and rooms are pretty basic, but the room was clean and comfortable. It was a bit of a tight squeeze for 3 (two adults and one child) due to the extra cot, but it made a good base for sightseeing. The staff was very friendly and helpful "
