"Nice enough property that was easily walkable to town. The room was cleand and comfortable. Staff were nice. WiFi was fine. No smart TV so no netflix or casting. Breakfast was fine. We had dinner at the resturant the first night - upon reflection, we felt it would have been better to have had dinner elsewhere because no IPA on tap and just plain pub food that wasn't the greatest. It was a good hotel for two nights."

"This was the sixth time we have stayed at this hotel. The food is always excellent and it didn't disappoint (the sword fish melted in the mouth). The cleanliness however has dropped. The ladies toilet by the bar wasn't clean and the dripping tap still hasn't been replaced (it's so bad it has marked the sink). We had to clear our own table in the bar to get a table on the patio. "Good convenient location. Clean well appointed rooms. Staff welcoming and very helpful. Only issue is the room on the 2nd floor was unbearably warm and there was no way to manually control it. The staff provided a floor fan on our second night and moved us to an upper floor day 3 and 4. I would stay again but request a higher floor. "

Although when we asked for refund we were going to get it, it was a disappointing experience and we booked certain rooms for a reason. In the end we were given another room same quality to the detriment of someone else checking in later who would have experienced the same issue as we took their room. "We have just returned from a four night stay at the New Inn, Winchelsea and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It's located right in the centre of the village and parking at the premises was never a problem. The landlord and landlady are a lovely couple and their staff are very pleasant and welcoming.
