"The Public was an amazing experience! The only reason a put a 4 star instead of 5, is because there is a $105 mandatory charge before you can check in. It gives you access to the roof and wifi, but $100 is too much to charge! Other than that, the room was fantastic, every employee we interacted with was amazing. "

"The most wonderful hotel. The staff were super helpful & welcoming. The arrival to and in the hotel is so well maintained, clean and smells incredible. The beds/linen/pillows are THE best I’ve ever slept on! Shower & amenities are excellent. We easily took the subway for things a bit further away The beds were very comfy, the water pressure in the shower was great, and it was quiet. For a large hotel, the elevator service was fast. "This my third time staying at the Empire. Staff are extremely friendly. The roof top pool and bar are great on a hot summer day. The Lincoln Centre across the street has live music outdoors on the weekends. Close to many nice restaurants and shops. Central Park is a block away. Best spot to stay in NYC! "
