The staff was super friendly and the concierge even gave us advice where to go for sightseeing. The furniture in the room is a little dated but that wasn't a big deal for me. "Umekoji Potel is undoubtedly one of the best hotels I've stayed in! The hotel was incredibly easy to get to and from Kyoto station (as Umekoji is one stop away) our room was amazing with a fantastic view of the park. The staff were amazing from the moment we stepped through the door and were always keen to help us when needed. The facilities are excellent and it was lovely to have different spaces to relax in other than our room. Incredibly family-friendly as well. Thanks for the lovely time! "
