"While the manor house is picturesque and beautiful with the charm you would expect, the pictures are deceiving. This property is situated immediately adjacent to a main thoroughfare. Additionally the rooms are not in the manor house. The rooms are set apart in different building which are much more similar to a traditional hotel and are of quality equal to a Hampton Inn. "

Sir Christopher Wren once owned the esrate and nemvers of hus familty memorialised there. The hotel is undergoing upgrading and offers a good standard of accommodation."

"Hotel was very clean & pleasant,room was clean & tidy, however info stated that room would be ready from 15:00, we were delayed by traffic & booked in at 16:25 to be told that room was not ready. We went for a drink in the bar & receptionist said she would phone when ready. As we were attending a function from 14:00-18:00 3 miles away we waited until 17:25 but room was still not ready. We had to leave luggage to take to room when we returned later that evening. The receptionist was friendly &...

"Great grounds and lovely spa. Really enjoyed our stay. Prices at bar got drinks in evening were very expensive though. Hotel rooms, especially bathroom could do with refurbishment, the bath enamel was peeling off and some parts of sealant were mouldy. "

"I stayed for a weekend in a single room. The family are welcoming and the hotel is very comfortable. My room, at the rear of the property, and en-suite shower room were very clean. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice. I marked down my stay because the television didn't work and, although there were curtains, there were no nets, so a shower in the daytime meant I had to draw the curtains and put the light on, as otherwise, with a large window, there was no privacy from the neighbours...

"Good location with private parking which is the main reason I chose this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice pub linked to the hotel. The room was clean and a good size... The only two downsides of the room was the sink and shower which could do with an upgrade. Otherwise I cannot complain about my overall stay. "
