"If you want a luxurious place to stay in Hanoi, The Sofitel Metropole Hotel should be at the top of your list. Built in 1901, it retains echoes of the French colonial era. The service was excellent throughout; from the reception to the breakfast area, and our favourite, the pool bar! "Veldig fin hotell. Superb beliggenhet i Old Quarter. Masse shopper, kafér, restauranter rett utenfor døren men ingen støy eller bråk om natten. Men det beste med dette hotellet er personalet. "ロビーは蘭の花が豪華に飾ってあり、良い香りに満たされていました。到着時は、よく冷えたマンゴーのウェルカムドリンクとクッキーが出されました。ドアボーイやスタッフはみんなフレンドリーで英語が通じよく気が利きました。ホアンキエム湖の近くでショッピングや観光にはとても便利です。客室はリフォーム後なのか新しく清潔で、何より外の音も聞こえずエアコンの音も静かでよく眠れました。バスタブ付きの部屋もあり、海外のバスタブにしては深さが充分あり日本人にはうれしいところです。アメニティも歯ブラシやバスキャップ、コームやひげそりなど一通りありました。朝食は、ベトナム料理(フォーや生春巻きや焼きそばなど)やパッションフルーツやドラゴンフルーツなどのフルーツはじめ盛沢山で、ベトナムコーヒーもリクエストできました。 帰りの飛行機が深夜便なので、夕方まで荷物を預かってもらうとき、シャワーも浴びてよいと言われましたが、SPAがあったので、マッサージですっかり疲れをとり、もう寝るだけという態勢で飛行機に乗ることができました。これおすすめです。"

"We stayed for 4 nights, in two separate reservations as we went on a cruise at Ha Long Bay. The hotel staff were courteous to save our large luggage at their storage until we returned for the second stay. The staff at the reception and the restaurants were helpful and courteous.
