"I was extremely pleased with my stay at the Microtel in Ames. It was much cleaner, nicer, and quieter than any of the similarly priced hotels where I've stayed in the area. I was especially pleased with the service I received when I checked in. The heating system in my room was not functioning, which I understand can happen. After making a quick check to see if he could fix it, the desk clerk immediately and happily assigned me another, nearby room. He brought me a new key card, waited while I unloaded my bags from the bell cart, and took the cart back to the lobby for me. Kudos!"

"We were able to order off the menu for breakfast as it was a weekday. The breakfast was very good! Rooms were clean and the front desk was nice. Ample parking. The hot tub was pretty good as well. "

"Nice landscaping and flowers welcoming guests into the hotel. Hotel was spacious and quiet, comfortable beds and nice breakfast with buffet option (which we prepaid with our room) or menu options. "
