"Room was lovely however bedside lights not bright enough to read, lovely view from room, grounds immaculate, had fun watching remote lawnmower.😂 Disappointing wait for order to be taken in main restaurant and meal was variable, my starter was excellent, fried prawns and plentiful, my husbands scallops, though tasty, were in short supply, 2, had to share my prawns with him. Main course, my lemon sole was disappointing but plentiful again, husbands duck tough and leathery, again shared mine with him. In the morning however, the breakfast was first class, an excellent selection for all tastes, well done to all. A very pleasant stay and would definitely go back though probably eat dinner out."

"Lovely hidden gem, staff were all very nice . Afternoon tea was great value for money with great selection of food (alcohol optional) Walk into town only 10 mins away (could be doing with better signs to find your way back) Lodge with hot tub - amazing - clean property could be doing with a little TLC but didn’t not spoil the experience."

"I gifted a 2 night stay for my dad and his partner, they stayed in superior double room, they had a lovely time, said the bed was large and comfie and bathroom was a great size, the extra touches with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel was lovely, they really enjoyed their breakfast, plenty of choice on the buffet and the hot food was hot, they also said they enjoyed their evening meal in the restaurant, great sized portions, evening entertainment was a bonus, staff were lovely, very friendly, well done mackays thanks for making their stay so enjoyable,"
